At Primary Health Network, we understand the importance of accessibility when it comes to healthcare. In addition to having access to primary care and specialty services, having affordable health insurance coverage is a crucial component of healthcare in the United States. Those who are uninsured are less likely to seek care due to out-of-pocket costs, and oftentimes fall behind on preventive care screenings such as annual check-ups.
Since 2014, Primary Health Network has offered free enrollment assistance to those in need of health insurance through the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Assisters offer non-biased help with the online application process to help consumers enroll in a plan that meets their needs. Recently, Pennsylvania opted to remove their insurance plans from the Federal Marketplace and begin offering coverage through a state-based exchange.
The PHN Exchange Assister will continue to enroll consumers in health insurance plans through various outreach methods, including in-person, remote, virtual and over the phone assistance. Assistance is available at no cost; for more information, please call (855) 456-5685.
The AAPC is the nation’s largest medical coding training and certification association for medical coders and medical coding jobs. Their site contains various educational and networking resources, as well as news and blog.
The National Health Service Corps offers loan repayment and scholarships to primary care providers and students for serving at NHSC sites in communities with limited access to healthcare.
