Celebrating Earth Day 2025!

Happy Earth Day! Every year on April 22nd, Earth Day is a global event demonstrating the importance of protecting our environment. This day highlights how your actions today can affect future generations. To celebrate this year, we spoke with our Director of Safety, Jeremey Fabian, about the importance of Earth Day to him!

Discussing Earth Day with our Director of Safety

Earth Day is meaningful for me as it brings like-minded individuals together to promote and encourage the importance of caring for our communities. Many environmental issues affect everyone and have an impact on generations to come. Earth Day allows us to discuss challenges such as pollution and loss of biodiversity. It’s not just about protecting the Earth for myself but also for my two daughters & their futures.

This observance resonates with me as I enjoy my connection with nature. There is something about taking in the beauty of what our world offers while appreciating clean, fresh air. Enjoying fresh air raises oxygen in your brain, boosting your serotonin and endorphin levels. This effect can often lead to improving one’s mood.

We have a responsibility to care for our planet. Here are several ways you can make a positive impact:

  • Reduce, reuse, and recycle
    • Reduce: Choose products with minimal packaging.
    • Reuse: Reuse items as much as possible. For example, use reusable cloth grocery bags & repurpose containers.
    • Recycle: You can recycle paper, plastic, glass, and metal while following local guidelines.

  • Try & use less plastic when given the option.

  • Plant Trees
    • Trees are essential for our environment. Planting trees in your yard or supporting tree-planting programs can make a big difference in your community.

You can make a substantial difference by integrating even a few of these. Remember, small steps, when combined, lead to big outcomes! We are committed to fostering a healthy environment & making a positive impact in the communities we serve!
